A madman named Art the Clown terrorizes two friends and anyone who gets in his way on Halloween. David Howard Thornton was the sixth person to audition for the role of Art the Clown after Mike Giannelli gave up the role and acting. During the audition, he pretended to taste the blood of his decapitated victim, but then salted it to improve the taste. This is how he won the role. In the shots where Tara is gagged with duct tape, in some earlier shots the duct tape is obviously not in contact with her lower jaw, while in other shots it is wrapped tightly around both lips. Paramedic Roman: How can you eat a greasy croissant while dismembering corpses? Coroner: Honey, I’ve been doing this for 22 years, okay? Once you’ve seen an eight-month-old microwaved to death, everything else is water under the bridge. There is a heavily edited version on YouTube with the graphic violence and bloodshed, as well as the nudity, removed. Edited together to create Terrifier 2 (2022). I’ll give it a try. Written and performed by: Thanks. Terrifier is a brutal, barbaric and bestial horror film full of gruesome murders and senseless savagery. Lacking any narrative basis, it exists solely to shock, anger, disturb and disgust its viewers with its endless bloodshed and unrestrained carnage, but for those with a penchant for the extreme, this indie slasher could prove to be a welcome thrill ride. Written, produced, edited and directed by Damien Leone, the plot is merely a sketch with nothing of worth brewing behind it, and exists only as an excuse for the filmmaker to indulge in the old-fashioned tricks that drive the violence and viscera. The makeup and special effects are worth mentioning, but since there is no narrative and no supporting characters, the film doesn’t get very far. The shoddy dialogue and terrible performances further complicate the journey, not to mention that there is also a lack of suspense and the film is quite predictable and repetitive. The cardboard characters keep making idiotic decisions throughout the film that only diminish our interest in their fate, if there was any. Still, David Howard Thornton impresses in his role and is sickening to watch. Overall, Terrifier is as repulsive and disgusting as it is crude and ruthless, often getting carried away by its torture and terror scenes. While there is an audience for this kind of cinematic offering, the film remains largely a forgettable journey. Still, Art the Clown shows promise and potential to become an icon of the horror franchise, but his character and role aren’t exactly entertaining. The mythology needs to be fleshed out better than it is here. Art the Clown, Pennywise and Killer Klowns are just some of the comical creatures that send shivers down our spines. Check out the scariest clowns to ever grace the screen.
